Horst Bruning, Ph.D. - President, CMOS Division

Dr. Bruning is the President of RTR's CMOS Division and the founder of Exxim Computing Corporation, which provides design services and software for three-dimensional image reconstruction for medical cone beam scanners. He earned a doctorate in physics for experimental work at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland. Before Exxim, he worked as VP Engineering on CT technology and visualization at TeraRecon and on homeland security applications at Invision Technologies (recently purchased by General Electric for nearly $1 billion).

Dr. Bruning's medical imaging expertise comes from 17 years with Siemens Medical Solutions in Germany, where he served as VP for Basic Research in 1997 and VP Engineering for Angiography and X-ray worldwide beginning in 1995, a $900 million sales business. In these capacities he managed over 200 people and an engineering budget of $50 million while contributing to the development of CT scanners at both Siemens and at Imatron, Inc.

Dr. Bruning is a member of the Board of Directors of RTR.
